iCal 3:00 PM. Brattleboro Women's Chorus [VT]: Better Days. Taking place on Mother’s Day, the performance will showcase songs by composers hailing from the African diaspora, and will feature Samirah Evans as guest soloist. The program will range from traditional spirituals arranged by Rollo Dilworth and Ysaye Barnwell to contemporary compositions by Dr. Ysaye Barnwell, Abbey Lincoln, Cassandra Willson, Stevie Wonder, and Bobby McFerrin. Becky Graber, director. Local musicians Cathy Martin, Steve Rice, Genevieve Rose, and Ronald Smith will comprise the band.
