6:30 PM. The Cambridge Chamber Singers [MA]: Cambridge Chamber Singers auditions for 2022-2023 season. Cambridge Chamber Singers is pleased to announce auditions for its 2022-2023 concert season! Experienced singers of all parts are welcome to audition.
\ \ Auditions will be held online starting Tuesday, September 5, by appointment. For questions, and to schedule an audition, please contact the Music Director, Ray Fahrner, at refahrner@comcast.net.
\ \ Rehearsals are every Thursday, starting September 8, from 7:15 PM to 9:45 PM. Rehearsals are at MIT, Bldg 5 Rm. 234 (77 Massachusetts Ave) and are accessible by the 1 bus or Red Line.
\ \ All singers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19, and the choir will be rehearsing fully masked until further notice.
\ \ Fall performances are on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 8 PM, and Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 7 PM.
\ \ Repertoire will include Guillaume Dufay’s Missa Ave Regina Caelorum, motets by Rheinberger, Schütz, and Sweelinck, Ukrainian motets, and two contemporary works TBD.

\ \ Preparing for Your Audition
\ \ In the 10-minute audition you will:
\ \ 1) Sing a prepared, unaccompanied piece – something you’re comfortable with.
\ \ Demonstrate accuracy and expressiveness.
\ \ 2) Sight read Renaissance and contemporary excerpts.
\ \ 3) Do some vocal exercises across your range as requested.
\ \ 4) Sing back a series of intervals.
