Auditions

Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. September 11, 2021 (Saturday)

9:00 AM. Cantilena [MA]: Auditions. Cantilena women’s chorus holds September 2021 auditions for in-person fall rehearsals and a December concert program, which features a Giselle Wyers piece commissioned by Cantilena that highlights the climate crisis and additional works which celebrate the Earth and environmental awareness/activism through choral music. SSAA voices and all treble voice parts are welcome to audition. Auditions may be in person or virtually, by appointment the morning of Saturday, September 11, and following an open rehearsal on Monday, September 13, after the chorus’s abbreviated first rehearsal. Auditions by our Interim Director, Allegra Martin, will consist of vocalization, pitch-matching, and sight-reading exercises. Singers are asked to choose a simple short song to demonstrate vocal quality, technique, and musicality. Auditionees will sing their selection without accompaniment.
