7:30 PM. Maine Music Society Chamber Singers and 5 other a cappella groups [ME]: Battle of the Blends XXVI - An A Cappella Blowout. Battle of the Blends features 7 extraordinary a cappella singing groups from around New England who will present their energetic vocal renditions of jazz, barbershop, pop, rock ‘n’ roll, and Renaissance music. Coming together to benefit MMS are: the Deansmen (Bates College), Fermata NoWhere (Edward Little High School), Maine Music Society Chamber Singers, None of the Above (from Wellesley, Mass.), Northern Pitch (a 5-voice group of lifelong musicians based in Portland), and Vocal Solution (8 singers with varied musical backgrounds from the Oxford Hills area).
