Auditions are open for The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Concord Women’s Chorus, Consonare Choral Community, Convivium Musicum, Jubilate Chorale, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, The Oriana Consort and Oure Pleasure Singers. iCal 7:15 PM. The Cambridge Chamber Singers [MA]: Auditions for the 2019–2020 season. The Cambridge Chamber Singers are holding auditions for experienced amateur singers. We rehearse Thursday evenings at MIT. The December 7-8 concerts will include Palestrina, Schütz, and Schumann; in May we'll be doing an exciting collaboration with the Boston New Music Initiative. In the 10-minute audition you will: 1) Sing a prepared, unaccompanied piece – something you’re comfortable with. Demonstrate accuracy and expressiveness. 2) Sight read Renaissance and contemporary excerpts. 3) Do some vocal exercises across your range as requested. 4) Sing back a series of intervals.
