7:00 PM. New World Chorale [MA]: Shostakovich, Borodin, and Tchaikovsky at the Hatch Shell. The New World Chorale and the Mercury Orchestra, conducted by Channing Yu, are performing a free outdoor concert featuring some of the most fervent music of several Russian composers. The New World Chorale joins the orchestra for “Polovtsian Dances” from Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin.
