Auditions are open for The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Concord Women’s Chorus, Consonare Choral Community, Convivium Musicum, Jubilate Chorale, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, The Oriana Consort and Oure Pleasure Singers. iCal 7:30 PM. North Country Chorus [VT]: Mozart’s Requiem. W.A. Mozart: Requiem, K. 626. With the Hilltones, St. Johnsbury Academy’s select choral group. Julie Drown, soprano; Katharine DeBoer, mezzo-soprano; Phil Brown, tenor; Lucas Weiss, bass; other solos by Hilltones soprano Fiona Sweeney. With Peter Beardsley, organ, and an orchestra of strings, winds and percussion, Alan Rowe, conductor. Fans of the 1984 Oscar award-winning film Amadeus will find many of the Requiem’s themes familiar. The Hilltones, recently back from their tour in Austria, will delight the audiences with several pieces on their own. The newly formed North Country Youth Chorus, led by Kaitlyn Bryant, will offer a few selections in their debut public appearance.
