Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. 7:30 PM. Cantilena [MA]: Fall Auditions - Sept 12 & 19. Cantilena, a women's chorale directed by Jennifer Kane, holds open rehearsals at the start of each Fall and Spring semester. 2016–2017 concerts:are on December 4, 2016, and May 7, 2017. Cantilena is an ensemble of approximately 40 singers dedicated to performing music written for the treble voice. Our challenging and diverse repertoire spans the fifteenth to the twenty-first centuries. We strive for a harmonious blend of voices and musical excellence in our performances. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings, including holidays, 7:30 to 10:00 PM at First Parish Unitarian Universalist in Arlington Center, Mass. Members have had prior choral experience and either sight-reading skills or a very good ear. If you are interested in auditioning, we ask that you attend an open rehearsal, sing with us, and then you may choose to stay for a brief audition with our music director and audition committee. (The rehearsal will end early to allow time for the auditions.) There is no need to reserve a spot, and no preparation is required.
