7:00 PM. Nashua Choral Society [NH]: Summer Sing Beethoven's 9th Symphony - An die Freude/Ode to Joy. Ludwig van Beethoven: "Ode to Joy" from the 9th Symphony; with the Choral Fantasy. Mr Philip Lauriat, conductor; Mr Shawn McCann, accompanist. Philip Lauriat has more than 25 years’ experience in the world of opera as conductor, producer and stage director. He was the Artistic Director of Granite State Opera from 1998 to 2009, the Music Director of the Portsmouth Symphony from 2004 to 2008, and is a frequent guest conductor with various orchestras and opera companies. General admission: $10. Music will be provided to borrow, but singers are encouraged to bring their own scores if they have them.
