Music by Ramsey, Mendelssohn, Brumfield, and other that music that implores us to explore the beauty that surrounds us, to find peace along the journey, and to consider our intent as we walk through this world. A collaborative performance featuring Choir Matrix Women's Ensemble and Consonare Youth Choirs. With the Hartford Opera Theater, who will be presenting a one-act opera called "Starsong" composed by Elliot Yokum and libretto by Sarah Barker. Choral works with compelling texts, many by living composers, to encourage and empower silenced voices to speak and sing. With the new women’s choir, Choir Matrix, and Consonare Youth Choirs, hosted by the Eastern Concert Chorale, in collaboration with Thread City Classical Dance. The mission of our community choirs is to cultivate consonance and build community through choral music in Connecticut for all, regardless of financial constraints.
