In observance of the bicentennial of the birth of composer Giuseppe Verdi, the Litchfield County Choral Union is performing the Verdi Requiem. All interested singers may participate without audition. Rehearsals begin May 6; they are held on Mondays from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Battell House on the Ellen Battell-Stoeckel Estate in Norfolk.   • The Seraphim Singers [MA]: Inspired to Joy. We have been through many challenges in recent years, yet Joy resurfaces from consolation growing into hope. Ivo Antognini: Hope is the thing with feathers (poetry by Emily Dickinson); Hubert Parry: There is an old belief; Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: Magnificat in F; Trevor Weston: Lauda (premiere, commissioned work, poetry by Angelo Geter); works of J.S.
