Songs celebrating the Americas, including Rolando Alarcón's “Si Somos Americanos”; Consuelo Velásquez's “Bésame Mucho”; Alisa Amador's “Nudo des raíces”; the folk song “La Monja Blanca”; Leon Dubinsky's “We Rise Again”; the spiritual “Roll Down Justice”; Carly Simon’s “Let the River Run”; the Lakota song “Chante Waste Hoksila”; and traditional American tunes “Shenandoah” and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” as well as George Emlen and Noel Paul Stookey's arrangement of "America the Beautiful.” With Sol y Canto: vocalist Rosi Amador, guitarist/composer Brian Amador, and flutist Paul Lieberman. Musica Sacra welcomes in this spring with works depicting the natural wonders of the season and with heartfelt pleas to consider our commonalities from such diverse voices as a 19th century Moravian preacher and a 20th century South African folksong.
