Berkshire Choral International at Amherst
Vaughan Williams: A Sea Symphony; and Five Mystical Songs. Joe Miller, Professor of Conducting and Director of Choral Studies at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, returns to BCI to lead this all-Vaughan Williams program. Dr. Miller is also artistic director of choral activities for the renowned Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston and previously taught at Westminster Choir College.
Our week will be hosted at the Fine Arts Center on the dynamic UMass Amherst campus. Amherst is a culturally vibrant college town in the picturesque Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. Afternoons can be spent visiting museums, hiking, or exploring charming towns including Northampton. An easy drive from much of the East Coast, the region is also served by Springfield/Hartford’s Bradley International Airport.
Tuition: $3,000 standard, $2,250 newcomer, $1,950 age 18–45, $2,000 commuter, $2,200 local. Tuition is based on double occupancy. Registration deadline April 1, 2024; late registration might be possible.
