Saratoga Choral Festival
Join us this July for the 17th annual Saratoga Choral Festival. Singers will meet for rehearsals over a two period in Saratoga Springs beginning the last two weeks in July and will perform in a concert open to the public at the National Museum of Dance in SPA State Park on Sunday, July 30, at 3:00 p.m. The Saratoga Choral Festival will present a concert of music featuring music for chorus and instruments written to accompany dance.
On the program will be music written for the exuberance of dance, from the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy to Carmen's Habanera, classical and graceful waltzes to Afro-Cuban cadences and jazzy modern standards. Included will choral arrangements of popular favorites from the movies and theater such as Singing in the Rain, American in Paris. The concert is a collaborative project for the Festival and the museum.
