A summer project choir started in 2021 by Lorraine Fitzmaurice and Holly Druckman to perform major works and showcase living, local composers. So far, we have done the Brahms Requiem, Frank Martin’s Mass for Double Choir, as well as four premieres, and this year we will be doing Sergei Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil.

Rehearsals: Wednesday nights 7-9:30 at University Lutheran Church in Harvard Square

Concert 1: Wednesday, August 21 (8pm, 6:00 call) Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral

Camberville Somerchoir is fast paced and there is an expectation that people learn their notes and rhythms at home with provided materials, and practice on their own if they have to miss a rehearsal. This choir is not auditioned for people who are already singing in an auditioned choir (e.g. Seraphim, Musica Sacra, Opera 51, Cantata Singers, etc.) who have recently sung in such a choir, those who are currently in or have completed a music degree, and people who teach music. For people who do not fall in these categories, email us directly, and we may hold auditions on a case-by-case basis.
