Encore is a choral rehearsal and concert weekend dedicated tocommunity building for singers of all experience levels age 18 years and older. The weekend is filled with choral rehearsal of varying types of choral music including folk, classical, acapella, and more! Intertwined with rehearsal are community group activities—intentional community builders inspired by Priya Parker's book The Art of Gathering. This is not just rehearse-and-leave-and-come-back-next-time: our goal is to build relationships, trust, and authenticity in performance through getting to know one another.

There are no auditions. Encore is for

• Community chorus & professional singers looking for a fun weekend singing with folks outside of their regular groups or choral genre
• Choral conductors looking for a pressure-free way to sing and enjoy community for themselves and be on the other side of the podium
• Singers with High school or college experience looking for a short commitment to try singing again
• Music educators looking for a way to fill their own musical performance cup
• Karaoke singers
• Shower singers
• Anyone looking for a fun way to meet new friends and connect with others, even if you've always wanted to sing in a choir, but have never tried!

The Encore Program Fee is $150 per singer, as well as a donation of your choice to support an SSCC summer student.
