Part of a commissioning project for new works for women's/treble voices by Christopher Cerrone and Ayanna Woods that depict present and future worlds through the lens of shifting weather patterns and impending climate change.

The premiere will occur in the 2023-2024 concert season.

Composers's note: Inspired by the themes and imagery in NK Jemisin’s Cloud Dragon Skies, a story set after a mass exodus from Earth, told from the perspective of the people who stayed behind. What defines our sense of place, and our sense of agency within it? What do we search for when we look up?
