Texts by Lord Byron and Lancelot Andrewes, for mixed SATB chorus, horn, and piano, about 7–8 minutes. To be in two movements. The first movement, 'Darkness', will be fast and intense, and the second movement, 'A Child of the Light', peaceful and comforting. The texts will be by Lord Byron (1788–1824) and Lancelot Andrewes (1555–1626).
