Chorus description:
All voices are welcomed! We DO NOT AUDITION and it is not necessary to read music. All we ask is for the commitment to weekly rehearsals, a couple of optional Saturday morning rehearsals and the willingness to sing your heart out. Snug Harbor Community Chorus attracts vocalists of all skill levels, dedicated to the performance of choral music from many genres. Our main concerts are presented twice each year. Repertoire quite varied but generally on the lighter side. Our goal is to have fun as we learn and share with our audiences. The fall/winter rehearsal season begins in September and culminates in a Christmas concert featuring traditional carols and varied seasonal fare that are representative of the various styles and moods of the season. The spring rehearsal season begins in January and culminates in a concert that features show tunes, folk, popular, and movie classics. The chorus is composed of residents from Duxbury, Pembroke, Plymouth and several other communities on the South Shore as well as Cape Cod. Rehearsals are held on Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:15 at the Duxbury Performing Arts Center. New members may attend the first 2 rehearsals as a trial option before joining on a permanent basis.
