Description
BACC is a nonprofit, independent organization that provides an enriching vocal experience to youth from as far away as Ellsworth and Dover-Foxcroft, reinforcing what students receive in school and-or from private lessons by teaching vocal control and listening skills to a smaller group of singers. The environment allows singers to experience a rewarding selection of music that is safe for developing voices. BACC helps its members develop character and presence through its performances.
BACC comprises two groups — the Treble Choir is for those with developing voices who are 9-16; and the Youth Chorale, BACC’s premier ensemble, for more advanced singers up to age 18. With both groups, the emphasis is on careful development of techniques appropriate to their age.
With a mission of Helping Youth Discover Their Voice, BACC provides special attention to its singers to help them grow vocally and as individuals. BACC brings together singers and artistic talent who are committed to the choral experience. This creates a developmental approach in which singers experience a challenging repertoire which emphasizes listening skills, balance, and pitch.
