Description

The Worcester Chorus includes professional and amateur singers from Central Massachusetts, Greater Boston, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The repertoire includes not only the Western world's finest choral masterpieces, but also contemporary arrangements of American folk songs and classics from musical theater. Each year the singers perform with orchestra in the Worcester Music Festival with spring and fall Masterworks concerts, Handel's Messiah in December, and a late spring concert featuring more contemporary music. The Worcester Chorus performed at Carnegie Hall in 2022, and makes guest appearances throughout the Northeast and overseas. Auditions are conducted in September and January.
