Description

The Thetford Chamber Singers (TCS) is a diverse group of approximately 40 men and women drawn together by the joy of singing and a commitment to bringing good music from a variety of traditions to the community.

TCS members come from all over the Upper Valley. We like challenging music, want to learn, and enjoy each other's company. We rehearse once a week on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:30pm at the First Congregational Church in Thetford on Thetford Hill. We start in September for a concert in early December, and then continue again in January until the May concert. In addition, there are special rehearsals to prepare for concerts. Singers are expected to attend all rehearsals and concerts. Our concerts are especially noteworthy for the wide variety of musical styles from various traditions, beautifully woven together with poetry and quotations to create an integrated musical, cultural and spiritual experience.
