8:00 PM. The Boston Cecilia [MA]: Bach Illuminated. The J.S. Bach motet Jesu, Meine Freude, will be at the center of a concert presenting the music of composers who influenced Bach and those who were powerfully influenced by him. Those composers include Palestrina, Sweelinck, J.M. Bach, J.C. Bach, Buxtehude, Brahms, both Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, Nystedt, Hailstork and Robles. Michael Barrett, conductor.
