6:00 PM. Tanglewood Festival Chorus [MA]: Prelude Concert: In Friendship We Sing. A 150th birthday tribute to Vaughan Williams, featuring choral music composed by him and his friends. Thomas Tallis: O Nata lux; Charles Hubert Hastings Parry: "My soul, there is a country"; Gerald Finzi: "Nightingales"; Charles Villiers Stanford: "The Blue Bird"; Maurice Ravel: Trois chansons; Gustav Holst: Nunc Dimittis; James Burton: Te lucis ante terminum; Ralph Vaughan Williams: Kyrie, from Mass in G minor; "Prayer to the Father of Heaven"; "Silence and Music"; "Valiant for truth".
