1:00 PM. Providence Singers [online]: Online talk by composer Ēriks Ešenvalds. Composer Ēriks Ešenvald will be joining us from his native Latvia to discuss his work and answer questions. Registered participants will also receive a link to the recorded premiere performance of his "Northern Lights" multimedia symphony, as well as a documentary entitled "Nordic Light: A Composer's Diary" that follows the process of creating this symphony, including three expeditions to Alaska, Iceland, Greenland, and Scandinavia to collect folksongs and legends about aurora. Zoom credentials will be emailed to registered quests on Saturday, April 24. The session is free to Providence Singers members and members of the American Choral Directors Association and $5 for all other guests.
