12:00 PM. Ensemble Companio [MA]: Audtion for Ensemble Companio—a unique choir with members from across the Northeast! This unique traveling chorus meets ten weekends per concert season for weekend-long rehearsals and concerts across the northeastern US. For many singers, this model provides greater flexibility than more-traditional weekly rehearsal models. However this setup simultaneously requires greater individual responsibility as singers are expected to study and memorize music between rehearsals scheduled weeks apart. This commitment to the music and ensemble is the secret ingredient to Ensemble Companio’s high-level and richly-rewarding musical excellence and close camaraderie. We will give you an overview of the chorus, the upcoming season, and walk you through the audition process which involves recording vocal exercises and musical excerpts and submitting them for evaluation. The final in-person round will take place during the first rehearsal weekend of the year, September 21-22. The 2019–2020 audition submission deadline is Sunday August 18, 11:59 EST.
