Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. 6:30 PM. Metropolitan Chorale [MA]: Auditions for 2019-20 Season. Auditions will be held August 26th – 28th from 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at All Saints Parish in Brookline (1773 Beacon Street) on the D line. Please email Reka Peterson, Chorale Administrator at admin@metropolitanchorale.org to schedule a 15-minute audition. Auditions include vocalizing, an aural memory evaluation, and sight reading. Singers are encouraged to bring a prepared piece, but this is not required.
\ \ 2019-20 Season information: November 8, 2019 - Kodály: Budavári Te Deum, Janáček: Amarus, Mendelssohn: Die erste Walpurgisnacht - Collaboration with Chorus pro Musica. March 15, 2020 - Music inspired by the World's Fair. May 16-17, 2020 - Beethoven: Symphony No. 9, Collaboration with New Philharmonia Orchestra. The Metropolitan Chorale is a 100-voice auditioned chorus, and one of Boston’s premier vocal ensembles. Our emphasis on culturally significant programming, combined with excellence in performance, yields a unique artistic contribution to the city of Boston. The chorus is led by Music Director Lisa Graham. Our mission is to unite singers who share the joy of learning and performing a challenging traditional and contemporary repertoire, and to support the growth of music in our community.
