Auditions are open for Back Bay Chorale, Brattleboro Camerata, Brattleboro Concert Choir, The Cambridge Chamber Singers , Cantemus Chamber Chorus, Cantilena, Coro Allegro, Crescendo Music, GM Chorale, Jameson Singers, Lexington Pops Chorus, Masterworks Chorale, Mystic River Chorale, New England Classical Singers, The Oriana Consort and Zamir Chorale of Boston. 6:00 PM. GMChorale [CT]: Open Rehearsals in January 2019. Singers in all voice parts are invited to participate in open rehearsals in January and to consider auditioning for the 80-voice ensemble. The GMChorale, led by Artistic Director Joseph D’Eugenio, is about to begin rehearsals for a concert of choral music of Anton Bruckner, featuring the Mass in E minor, on Sunday, May 5, in Middletown. Singers interested in joining the Chorale for this concert and for next season may participate in open rehearsals before scheduling a private “singer-friendly” audition with Maestro D’Eugenio. The GMChorale rehearses in Cromwell on Tuesday evenings. Members pay annual tuition, purchase their own music, and provide their own concert attire. High school and college students are particularly encouraged to sing with the GMChorale. Scholarships are available to cover tuition; scholars pay only for their music and concert attire. Prospective adult singers may also express an interest in singing with Alchemy, the vocal chamber ensemble of the GMChorale. Registrations is required.
