The principal community foundation for Boston, with $1.5 billion under management. The Boston Foundation gives independant grants for a wide variety of purposes asnd manages over $1 billion in donor advised funds and dedicated funds.

Live Arts Boston

A Boston Foundation project that supports work in dance, theater, music, opera, musical theater, spoken word, performance art, circus arts, traditional and folk performing arts, and any multi-disciplinary combination of the above. Criteria vary from year to year, but in 2021 grants of $15,000 were given to create, produce, or present new performing arts work for Greater Boston audiences.

Philanthropy Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN) is the voice of the nonprofit sector, a statewide organization that brings together all parts of the nonprofit ecosystem—nonprofits, funders, community and business leaders, and elected officials—to strengthen nonprofits and raise the sector’s voice on critical issues. MNN understands that strong nonprofits build strong communities. It is MNN’s mission to strengthen the nonprofit community through advocacy, public awareness, and capacity building.

ACDA Massachusetts

MassACDA is the Massachusetts chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). ACDA members teach choral music in public and private schools – kindergarten through senior high school – and at the college and university levels. They conduct a variety of choral groups, including boy choirs, children’s choirs, men’s and women’s choruses, junior and senior high school choirs, college and university choruses, ethnic choirs, vocal-jazz ensembles, and symphony choruses. They also conduct choirs in their communities and in their places of worship.

Choral Arts New England Award Ceremony Honors Lifetime Achievement Award Winner Marguerite Brooks and Fifteen Recipients of Alfred Nash Patterson Grants

Choral Arts New England will hold its 35th annual awards ceremony and reception on Sunday, November 3, 2019, honoring our 2019 Alfred Nash Patterson grant recipients and our Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Marguerite Brooks. The ceremony will take place at 3:00 pm at Old South Church, in Copley Square, Boston, with a reception to follow. The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
