New England Choral Institute at New Hampshire Music Festival
A one-week intensive for singers and conductors built around the preparation and performance of Leonard Bernstein's MASS. The program includes private coaching sessions with leading voice and conducting faculty, group masterclasses with string quartet for conductors, detailed score study and analysis, and holistic wellness training through performance anxiety and Alexander Technique workshops.
Participants will sing in the chorus for the culminating performance of Leonard Bernstein's MASS with conductor Dan Perkins and the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra on August 2 and 4, 2018. Auditions for the Institute are required either in person or via an electronic submission. (Note that a separate "community track" is also available, by audition, for singers in New Hampshire who want to commute to rehearsals over the course of three weeks, three times a week in order to sing Bernstein's MASS.)
