Each year since 1951 the Litchfield County Choral Union has presented a major choral work with orchestra in the Music Shed the Battell-Stoeckel estate at the intersection of routes 44 and 272 in Norfolk, Connecticut. The building, lined with California redwood, is a concert hall of remarkably fine acoustic quality. No auditions required, though the pace of our rehearsals encourages dedicated and regular participation. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM.  Additional rehearsal sessions occur on alternate Wednesday evenings during the concert season.

A Festival of Gilbert and Sullivan. Staged excerpts from the most popular of the Gilbert and Sullivan productions, including Mikado, Pirates of Penzance, Iolanthe, H.M.S. Pinafore, Trial by Jury and Patience. Soloists include Allison Messier, mezzo-soprano; Barbara Youmans, alto; Ray Bauwens, tenor.

Performance: Sunday, July 24, 2016, 3:00 PM
