Chorus description:	The Rhode Island Gay Men’s Chorus (RIGMC) is a gathering of individuals who, united through diversity, fellowship and song, strive to make a difference in the lives of our singers and our audience. Our vision: We seek to build a world where musical beauty, creativity, and expression are experienced, valued, and nurtured. We are dedicated to excellence, respect, integrity, and enrichment. We strive for excellence in our choral music performance and in the creation of a positive image of ourselves, our community, and our society as a whole. We esteem our fellow musicians as valued contributors and our audience members and supporters as co-participants in the art of making choral music. We engage in honest, sincere, and principled behavior that reflects positively on the PGMC and on each individual. We perform a diverse and eclectic repertoire of music that challenges our singers’ abilities and nurtures beneficial relationships within the community while developing and expanding the appreciation of choral music. No auditions are required; however, a degree of musicality is expected, such as the ability to match pitch and perform basic rhythmic movements. Most importantly, a love of quality choral music is required.
