Chorus description:	The New Haven Oratorio Choir is a chamber choir committed to performances of high quality along with the warm and inviting character that distinguishes our concerts and that our audiences have come to expect. Our goal and focus is to provide the New Haven region with intimate choral music. We strive to provide our singers with opportunities to learn and grow musically, to inspire our audiences with superb performances of old and new music alike, and to educate our performers and the public in a repertoire of well-known and lesser known works and even newly composed music. Although 60 years brings understandable and often beneficial changes to a musical organization, two features at the heart of its founding continue to characterize NHOC: a commitment to sacred music and an openness to all members of the community. These features, plus its uncompromising commitment to musical quality, augur well for its future.
