Novi Cantori is a chamber choir that has been a fixture of the Western Massachusetts choral scene for over forty years. The current iteration of the group remains focused on musical excellence, but has shifted to a unique organizational system, operating as an artists' collective of sorts. We have a repertoire committee that determines our concert programs, and we share administrative and artistic leadership responsibilities. We offer singers a small stipend for their participation, and frequently donate concert proceeds to other non-profit organizations around the Connecticut River Valley.

The mission of Novi Cantori is to create high-quality, emotionally resonant musical experiences for its audiences. The group prides itself on presenting newly created music, songs from around the world, and music by composers from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. The core values of the group include collaboration, power sharing, transparency, and intentionality in programming.

We rehearse on Monday nights in Northampton from October through December, and from April to June, to prepare for two concert cycles a year.
