Antonio Vivaldi: “Spring” from The Four Seasons (with chorus singing Vivaldi’s own words); Ralph Vaughn-Williams: The Lark Ascending (with chorus singing words that Vaughan-Williams cited as his inspiration); William Byrd: two works arranged for chorus with strings; Pēteris Vasks: “Plainscapes” (including improvised birdsongs from the chorus); Eric Nelson: “Birdsong” (text by Rumi).
