iCal 7:30 PM. Heritage Chorale [MA]: Open Rehearsal. Come sing with us! Explore what it's like to perform with a chorus of talented, committed singers under distinguished musical leadership. We rehearse weekly, September through May, in Framingham, and annually present three concerts — two Classical and one Pops. Open Rehearsals let you see the energy, talent, and dedication of Heritage Chorale singers, our inspired Music Director, John Finney, and expert accompanist. We admit members through auditions in September, November, and February, following open rehearsal(s). First Parish of Framingham, Scott Hall, 24 Vernon Street, Framingham MA 01701 (View flier)

iCal 4:00 PM. Heritage Chorale [MA]: Pops Concert: Humor Us! A celebration of songs with a comical twist. Enjoy the mock-seriousness of “Jack cum Amico Jill” — the Latin version of “Jack and Jill” — and the foot-stomping Liebeslieder Polkas by P. D. Q. Bach. Encounter a veritable menagerie of animals-in-song, including “Mary Had a Little Lamb” (in settings that might have been created by Schubert or Verdi), a whole barn-full of animals in Copland’s “I Got Me a Cat,” the famous blind mice in Porter’s “Mouse Madrigal,” and the whiting and the snail in Lewis Carroll’s “Lobster Quadrille” from Alice in Wonderland. Relive some childhood memories when you hear Allan Sherman’s classic letter from camp, “Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh.” And commiserate with our alto section (who never seem to get to sing the melody!) in “The Alto’s Lament.” Before and after the concert, enjoy the Chorale's second Annual Silent Auction. Nevins Hall, Memorial Building, 150 COncord Street, Framingham MA 01702 (View flier)
