iCal 4:00 PM. City Singers [CT]: Celtic Fire! Thev Eternal Flame. A program tracing the evolution of Celtic music from its ancient roots in melodies from the Celtic regions of Galicia (northern Spain), Norway, and other parts of Europe to Irish fiddle tunes and music by celebrated composers such as Turlough O'Carolan, Sean O'Raida, and Michael McGlynn. A band of musicians playing Irish harp, wooden flute, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, concertina, bodhrán, double bass, pipe organ and Highland pipes will be featured and will accompany the singers. $20 requested donation.   • The Seraphim Singers [MA]: Inspired to Joy. We have been through many challenges in recent years, yet Joy resurfaces from consolation growing into hope. Ivo Antognini: Hope is the thing with feathers (poetry by Emily Dickinson); Hubert Parry: There is an old belief; Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: Magnificat in F; Trevor Weston: Lauda (premiere, commissioned work, poetry by Angelo Geter); works of J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Franz Biebl, and Maurice Duruflé. Pre-concert forum with Trevor Weston, and Angelo Geter at 7:30 pm on March 2. The March 3 concert will be broadcast.
